The detachable neck on the Buzz-Off Riding Zebra – Factory Seconds protects the horse’s neck, chest and shoulders.
It comes with an elastic brow-band to help keep the rug in position up the neck and attaches with Hoop and Loop straps to the riding rug at the withers and in front of the saddle.
Research has discovered that flies hate the Zebra stripes! One study found that flies landed on zebra stripes at one fourth of the rate they landed on horses. The idea is that the stripes create an optical illusion that makes it difficult for flies to land on the zebra’s skin and bite because they are unable to accurately gauge the zebra’s size, shape, and distance due to the striped pattern.
