The Buzz-Off Zebra Fly Mask – Factory Seconds can be used with the any Bucas fly rug or on its own, providing excellent protection while being held securely with an adjustable elasticated strap.

Research has discovered that flies hate the Zebra stripes as they find it confusing and so steer clear of them! One study found that flies land on zebra stripes on average at one fourth of the rate they landed on horses.

The Buzz-Off Zebra Fly Mask – Factory Seconds has darts along the bottom of the mask helps keep the mask away from the horse’s eyes and the ear pieces helps keep the flies away from your horse’s head so that they are happy during their time in the field.

The idea is that the stripes create an optical illusion that makes it difficult for flies to land on the zebra’s skin and bite because they are unable to accurately gauge the zebra’s size, shape, and distance due to the striped pattern.
