The Freedom Turnout Light, with a Rip-stop outer and no insulation, makes it a great lightweight option.

Waterproof, breathable, and made with 600 denier polyester rip-stop fabric. Denier is only one factor to consider when evaluating the strength and durability of a fabric. Also to be considered are; the type of thread used, the construction of the fabric, and the type of finish applied. These all have a significant impact on the overall strength and durability of the fabric. The reinforcing technique used in the ripstop fabric makes it more resistant to tearing and ripping, which means it can withstand more wear and tear than regular polyester fabric. Polyester is a very lightweight fabric, meaning polyester rip-stop is perfect for a lightweight turnout.

Cut differently from the rest, shoulder darts do not feature in our Freedom range, making it our ‘slim fit’ range. Narrow or Thoroughbred types will take their normal size but horses who are ‘cob-ish’ or who have wide shoulders or chest will find this range a little snug. Please note that the Freedom Turnout are a slim fit, for a broad pony/horse it’s advised to go up one size.
