Based in County Galway young rider Sven Hadley is considered as one of Ireland’s top young riders. Guided by his parents Nick and Gill, Sven has not only clocked up a series of wins at home and abroad but he has built up a successful business of producing young horses for the top International classes. Kick-starting his career at the tender age of sixteen, Sven is now a main contender in arenas across the continent.

He got his first taste of International showjumping, when his trainer Tom Slattery organised that that he spend time training in Pewitt Hall with Billy Twomey.

In 2012 riding Adelegonde Z he formed part of many line-ups at home and abroad. The combination started their international season on a strong note clocking up world ranking points at Strazeele and Vidauban in France. They won the Wales and West European viewing Grand Prix, the €24,000 two star Grand Prix in Barbizon. They topped the trip off with back to back wins in Metz France, winning both €23,000 World Ranking Rolex Classes on the Friday and the Sunday. In the later part off the year the pairing won the 1.40m speed class in Dunkirk and the 1.35m in Barbizon, and where fifth in both the Grand Prix’s and the Masters class in Belgium. They jumped double clear in the Nation’s cup in Weirden in Holland.In August at European Championships they won the Junior Individual speed class the first day. As the anchor combination we also jumped double clear in the Nations cup to secure Team Junior Gold.

Amongst many of his notable wins is his young rider titles in Dublin. The work-up to Dublin in 2013 was one to remember as Sven took the runner –up at the Premier Series at South County Show. Dublin was one to remember as the Sven claimed two Young rider Championships titles. After qualifying for the Dublin Horse Show, Hadley returned to retain his young rider Championship title with Cassana and was crowned the leading young rider at the Dublin Horse Show.
