Smartex Neck – Factory Seconds

The Smartex Neck is designed to provide full neck protection. It may be used with the Bucas Smartex range or any Bucas Turnout that features neck attachment points.

Smartex Neck – Factory Seconds has a Ballistic Nylon outer, our Stay-dry fleece inner lining and Silk-feel lining against the horse. The Stay-dry lining will provide some heat (equal to approx. 50g insulation) and will wick away any moisture from your horse, drying your horse, while the lining remains dry against your horse’s skin. This is the ideal lining for busy people who need to ride and turn out quickly!

The Ballistic nylon shell is both waterproof and breathable, made with 1680 denier ballistic nylon. Denier is only one factor to consider when evaluating the strength and durability of a fabric. Also to be considered are; the type of thread used, the construction of the fabric, and the type of finish applied. These all have a significant impact on the overall strength and durability of the fabric. Resistant to tearing and abrasion the ballistic nylon is much stronger than regular nylon. Made using a strong and durable nylon thread, tightly woven to create a densely packed fabric.

Please note that this is just a Neck Piece to use with your Bucas rug, not an entire rug!
